Senator Dino Melaye and Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo made headlines on Thursday as the latest celebrity lovers in town.
Just as the news filtered to town, many were surprised that they were not only lovers, but engaged secretly and set to wed!
Oh! That means Senator Dino Melaye loves dating actresses.
He dated Nollywood actress Bisi Ibidapo-Obe aka Bisi Omologbalogba eight years ago and the affair produced a seven-year-old girl which the controversial senator has denied paternity.
Recall Bisi had a running battle with the Kogi politician over the paternity of the baby. Even her friend, actress Lola Alao, joined forces with Dino to deny the pregnancy too.
Despite that, Bisi had the baby, her first and still only child, and had a big christening ceremony at her Magodo home in Lagos. She christened the baby even when Dino refused to show up.
This tore apart the friendship between Bisi and another actress, Lola Alao, who s currently based in Canada.
Again, the politician was also rumoured in 2019 to have been the father of Tokunbo Idowu aka Tboss’s baby girl.
Tboss is the second runner up of the 2017 edition of a reality show, Big Brother Naija.
He debunked the story.
But then, you don’t have to believe that Senator Dino is dating Iyabo Ojo.
Before you conclude on their wedding date as you ruminate over this ‘celebrity affair,’ you must realize that the ‘news’ is fake, unfounded and the ‘couple’ debunked it.
The rumor was sparked by an Instagram blogger known as Gistlovers, after Iyabo Ojo posted a photo of herself flaunting her diamond ring and adding the prefix, ‘Olori’ to her social media name.
Well, the Senator has spoken.
Posting an inscription on his social media pages, Senator Dino Melaye wrote:
“SDM is not a criminal and can not have a secret engagement. People using me to promote their blogs & 4 publicity staunch will have to start paying. Match making 2 different pictures & writing rubbish now equal to engagement. Una no even fear 4 this Corona period..2nd base oo jare. Ohun to ba wu elenu lo le fi enu soo..efi won sile..eje kan ma so loo… (sic)
