For Nollywood actress, Wunmi Ajiboye, it’s high time her estranged husband, Segun Ogungbe told the world that they are no longer an item.
Angered by the numerous accusations thrown at her as a result of the party she hosted in Oshogbo to mark the final burial of her mother last week, Wunmi expressed shock that Ogungbe is quiet and allowing her to be scolded online for her A-list guest and the fact that Segun also came as a guest and her baby daddy!
Wunmi believed her estranged partner is getting support from people online over the state of a marriage that has broken down.
On Sunday, Wunmi issued a statement on her Instagram handle and wrote in parts, “As for the adorable father of my children who has refused to say a word on our relationship status and I decided to respect his opinion but when I see the undeserved empathy he gets in a mutual agreement, I feel tempted to talk but still for the sake of the beautiful kids, I would keep mute until he finds an appropriate time to do otherwise.” (sic)
The actress who has been labeled online as ‘bringing her lover to a party her husband was in attendance’ has defined her relationship with Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo as not intimate.
She wrote, “I had sealed with the King of Fuji Music independently years before the burial party and as a norm after the birth of a group called CGI (Connecting Grassroots Initiatives) I had to officially invite the Pioneer of the group in person of MC Oluomo. I can categorically say that I have never had a romantical relationship with him prior or during the party I just had.” (sic)
She confessed to have spent seven years planning the burial and what made her invite MC Oluomo who she referred to as ‘a philanthropist.’
She wrote, “It took me 7 years to give my mother a final befitting burial and which I am proud to do solely. The philanthropist gave me money to support in the presence of the committee a day to the party. (Group members can testify)
“Everything I have done single handedly is always tagged to him and somehow robs me of my hardwork and my sweat .I kept quiet for long as people know him to be a philanthropist but I am boldly saying that I do not have any romantical relationship with him and this does not cancel the fact that he has been a good person to me. (sic)
Referring to herself as a ‘virtuous and hardworking woman’, Wunmi stated that, “I wouldn’t allow my hardwork, my tenacity, my name, my sweat and my truth to be robbed.”
Recall in 2022 an Instagram blog, Gistlovers reported a crash of Segun Ogungbe’s marriage to Wunmi and that she had moved out of their matrimonial home in Abeokuta to another location allegedly gotten for her by MC Oluomo.
Segun Ogungbe hasn’t responded.
