Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is officially the big 5-0!
In celebration of the mogul’s half-century birthday, the man, the myth and the legend himself shared a look back at his prolific career on Instagram Monday (November 4), posting a nostalgia-inducing “halftime” B-day video.
“IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!!!! I’M 50 & I FEEL GREAT. I MADE IT TO HALFTIME. LET’S GOOOOO!!!! #DIDDY50,” the $740 million man captioned the celebratory clip that showed highlights from his prolific career and sweet moments from his personal life.
The Instagram video additionally issued a message to Diddy’s fans. letting them know that his first 50 years on earth were just the beginning.
“The first 50 years had peaks and valleys but we made to halftime. We’re just getting warmed up,” read the text that came across the screen as clips took fans down memory lane, showing shots from the early days of Diddy’s career when he was known as Puff Daddy/ Puffy the rapper to his transition into Diddy, the esteemed business mogul, music executive, and father-of-six.
At one point in the minute-long clip, Diddy was also heard saying, “I represent black excellence” as his and Mase’s 1997 hit “Feel So Good” played in the background.
The video concluded with Diddy sharing additional heartwarming moments from his home life, including images of his late ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter, and their children.
