Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has won hearts online after sharing a video of her taking the dispatch rider who professed love for her out for lunch and shopping.
The story initially went viral when reports claimed the rider had lost his job after expressing his feelings for Martins. Sharing screenshots of their chat, the actress had earlier described his behaviour as “disrespectful and disgusting” and questioned whether she should feel guilty.
In a follow-up post, Martins clarified that the rider had not been dismissed, but was merely cautioned. She stressed her good intentions, saying, “I have a pure heart and will never do anything to deprive anyone of food, regardless of their actions. My aim in reporting him was to have them caution him.”
In the video shared on her Instagram page, the actress treated him to a luxury lunch and took him shopping. She revealed that after unblocking him, she invited him on a date, and he accepted immediately.
Martins made it clear that her gesture was not an acceptance of his romantic feelings, but an act of kindness to remind him of his worth. “This is not me saying yes to his love request; this is me extending my hand of love to him, reminding him he is worthy of LOVE and AFFECTION regardless of his status,” she wrote.
She also attempted to encourage him to be patient, saying that God would bless him with a suitable partner once he was financially stable, but the rider insisted, “it’s me or nobody else.”

Additionally, Martins called on Nigerians to support him in obtaining a dispatch bike to help him gain independence. “A little assistance from each and every one of us can help him stand on his own as a man. Opeyemi is begging Nigerians to support him with a dispatch bike to enable him stand on his own,” she concluded.
The video has since sparked widespread attention, with fans praising Martins for her generosity, empathy, and encouragement.
