Similoluwa Ogunseyi, the sister of former Ooni of Ife’s wife Queen Naomi, has dismissed viral reports suggesting that the ex-queen, along with Hamzat Oriyomi and others, has been released from Agodi Correctional Center.

Taking to her Instagram story, Similoluwa described the claims as false, urging the public to disregard them.
“There has been rumor that my sister [Queen Naomi], Alhaji Oriyomi, and the principal have been released. It’s a lie from the pit of hell. Please disregard it. They are still very much in Agodi Correctional Center. Thank you,” she wrote.

A similar update was shared on Queen Naomi’s official Instagram story, reiterating their release’s rumor was untrue.

The case, which stems from the tragic Ibadan funfair stampede that claimed 35 lives, has captured public attention due to its high-profile nature. Despite widespread speculation, Similoluwa confirmed that the detainees remain in custody as investigations continue.

The statement has sparked conversations across social media, with many closely monitoring developments surrounding the incident and the fate of those involved.
