Queen Ashley, the fourth wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has marked the monarch’s 10th year on the throne with a heartfelt message filled with praise, gratitude and affection.
In a tribute shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, she commended the Ooni’s leadership over the past decade and prayed for continued strength, wisdom and divine favour as his reign progresses.
She reflected on the last ten years as a period defined by “grace, wisdom and divine strength,” noting that the king had led with “integrity and humility” despite challenges.
Queen Ashley also reaffirmed her devotion to the monarch, promising to remain by his side in the years ahead.
“My Dearest Husband, Ooni Agbaye, Olofin Ajalaye, Olori Alade Gbogbo, My King, The One Whose Heart I Hold and Who Holds Mine,” she began in her message.
She continued, “Happy 10th Coronation Anniversary to You, My Love. It feels just like yesterday when my late father, of blessed memory, foresaw what has now become our beautiful reality. Among the many princes, he predicted that you would be the chosen one, the destined heir to ascend the throne and he also foretold that we would walk this divine journey side by side.”
Expressing pride in the monarch’s accomplishments, she added, “Today, as we mark ten glorious years of your reign upon the throne of our forefathers, my heart overflows with gratitude, joy, and immense pride. I celebrate you, my crown jewel, my confidant, my love, and my king.”

She further prayed for a successful continuation of his reign: “Congratulations, my dearest husband, Olowo Ori Afolasade, on this remarkable milestone your 10th Coronation Anniversary. May your reign continue to flourish in wisdom, grace, and divine favor, as Olodumare continues to guide and bless your path.”
Queen Ashley also referenced what she described as divine revelations—especially those from her late father—regarding the Ooni’s destiny to ascend the throne. “I give all glory to Olodumare, the Almighty, who began this journey with you and has sustained you every step of the way… it had been spoken, prophesied and affirmed by many, including my late father of blessed memory that you were destined to be king,” she wrote.
Reflecting on personal trials, she expressed gratitude that their marriage had endured. “My love, Oko Mi, Ninolowo Baba ADEMAKINWA, Olewalowo, Ekun Oko Ekun… I thank Olodumare again, for though the enemies tried to shake our union and tear us apart, they did not prevail.”
She celebrated their son, Adémákinwá, describing him as a divine blessing. “I thank Him for our precious gift, our beautiful son ADEMAKINWA, in whom He has blessed us with joy and purpose.”
Queen Ashley ended her tribute with a renewed declaration of love and loyalty: “I proclaim today and forevermore my undying love for you… May your reign continue to flourish, may your crown never fall, and may the light of Olodumare forever shine upon you… Cheers to you, my King, my love, my HUSBAND, for ten glorious years and for countless more decades to come.”
