Nigerian-born businessman Simon Guobadia has lost a legal battle against his estranged wife Porsha Williams, just days after being deported from the United States.

According to Us Weekly, the court upheld the validity of the prenup which the couple signed before their November 2022 wedding.
The judge rejected Simon’s attempt to nullify the document, stating he knowingly entered the agreement and had ample time to review its terms, which were clearly meant to prevent “contested and expensive litigation.”
The court enforced the couple’s prenuptial agreement, awarding Porsha $40,000 per month in alimony for the next 14 to 15 months. Simon is also required to cover her legal fees and hand over the Rolls-Royce he gifted her.
Regarding the couple’s $7 million home, which was initially Simon’s premarital property, Porsha has until 2027 to decide whether she wants to remain in the house or sell it. If she chooses to stay, she must refinance the property and buy out Simon’s 50% equity share. In the meantime, Simon will continue covering the home’s expenses, including mortgage payments.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star filed for divorce in February 2024, citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken.”
Since then, the estranged couple have traded legal shots, including a defamation suit filed by Simon seeking $75,000 in damages over claims Porsha allegedly made about his sexual health.
The drama further intensified after Simon, who is of Nigerian descent, was detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over visa issues and eventually deported. As a result, he will now have to appear in future court proceedings remotely.
