Portable Slams Olamide Over Asake’s Alleged Exit From YBNL

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has taken a swipe at rap icon Olamide following reports that Asake has allegedly parted ways with YBNL.

In a viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), Portable expressed disappointment that Olamide signed Asake over him, only for Asake to allegedly abandon the label.

Portable’s Outburst:

Speaking in the video, the Zaazu crooner said: “Olamide, you used Asake to tackle me in the industry. You wanted to cancel me, so I ran to Sango. From Sango, I toured the world. Now look at the person you lifted above me—he has dumped you without even saying thank you.”

He further accused Olamide of taking his producer, promoter Kogbagidi, and dancer, adding: “You told Asake to copy my trend of wearing big shoes and oversized clothes.”

Portable also called out Davido, claiming he was the original influencer for crypto and bitcoin before Davido allegedly hijacked the trend.

Reactions from Netizens:

Portable’s rant has sparked mixed reactions online:

  • @Judithoflagos: “Pls stop posting this nuisance. If bloggers stop posting him, he will be irrelevant.”
  • @Osas_ThePlug: “I’m curious to know what makes a human behave like this. We’ve never seen anything like this in the Nigerian music industry.”
  • @Ni_yhi: “Okay. I’m waiting for the day he will drag Skepta too. I swear Skepta won’t escape dragging from Portable.”
  • @zeezefc: “I was expecting him to drag Olamide anytime soon and he did it.”

The video continues to trend, with many awaiting Olamide’s or Asake’s response.
