Nigerian influencer Abike Raheem, widely known as Papaya Ex, has accused a police officer of assault during a late-night stop in the Ajah area of Lagos State.
Speaking during an emotional TikTok live session on Friday, Papaya Ex claimed the incident occurred as she was returning home from a shoot. She alleged that the officer physically attacked her, assaulted her driver, and behaved inappropriately toward her.
According to the influencer, what initially seemed like a routine encounter escalated quickly. She claimed the officer hit her with a gun, slapped her, struck her buttocks and breasts, and forcibly took her mobile phone.
No video footage of the alleged assault exists, reportedly due to network issues, but Papaya Ex showed visible injuries on her face during the live broadcast.
Videos circulating online show a heated exchange between her and a uniformed officer, though the full context and authenticity of the incident remain unverified.
