Veteran Nollywood actor Sunday Afolabi has made a return to acting after spending time away from the movie industry, during which he was reportedly involved in commercial driving in Lagos.
His comeback was revealed by fellow actor Adeniyi Johnson, who shared a photo of Afolabi on a movie set, confirming that the veteran is back to work.
Afolabi is currently featuring in a new film project titled ILEKE, produced by Seyi Edun and directed by Adebayo Tijani.
Announcing the development, Johnson wrote, “Ladies and gentlemen @sundayafolabi22 is back!!! Available for shoots in and out of Lagos even Naija!! Versatile and professional to the core!!!”
The actor’s return comes not long after a viral video showed him working around a commercial bus in Lagos, assisting passengers — a moment that stirred concern and sympathy among fans.
In an earlier chat with Kunle Afod, Afolabi had opened up about personal challenges, including the loss of his wife and financial struggles, which forced him to seek alternative means of livelihood while waiting for acting roles.
