Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, embroiled in a dispute with his club over a TikTok video, opted not to celebrate his goal against Udinese.
Napoli had posted a TikTok video showing Osimhen’s missed penalty against Bologna, which was later deleted, along with another video where he was labeled a ‘coconut’ by the club.
Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, hinted at possible legal action over the public mocking. Despite the controversy, Osimhen scored against Udinese but refrained from celebrating.
He also removed all Napoli-related posts from his social media, fueling speculations about a potential January departure. Osimhen, the club’s record signing since 2020, has netted 62 goals in 107 games.
Napoli faces Lecce in Serie A next and Real Madrid in the Champions League on October 3.
