Janet Ademola, younger sister of late actress Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi, has died.

The news of her demise was broken on Saturday by Gbenga Onisola, her nephew.
Ademola had in a Punch interview on Friday described her sister as her best friend, a caring sister and a mother with a rare heart of love.

“The death of my elder sister, Mrs Folake Aremu, is very painful because of what she stood for in our lives as family members. She was very friendly and caring; she never left her siblings untended. We are pained because she stood in as a good mother for all of us,” she had said.

Orisabunmi’s older brother Steve Onisola had also passed on Thursday after a brief illness. Mr Onishola was the technical director of Kwara Falcons Basketball Club of Ilorin.

President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr Latin, announced Orisabunmi’s death in a statement on Wednesday.“It is so sad we lost a priceless jewel, a very rare gem in the Nigerian film industry, Chief Mrs Folakemi Aremu, aka Orisabunmi, to the cold hands of death last night,” Mr Latin said.According to the actor, Orisabunmi left a legacy of positive experience for anyone who took the time to know her.“Though good people die every day yet not all of them affirm for us the goodness in humanity the way Orisabunmi did,” Mr Latin’s statement added.
