Congratulations are still in order as a new prince arrived in Ile Ife palace.
Already, many celebrities have sent in their messages to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II on the birth of another prince, just five months after a set of twins from one of his queens.
Recall Ooni Ogunwusi married six wives in 2022 in quick succession.
Meanwhile, Olori Tobi Philips-Ogunwusi, one of the queens of the Ooni of Ife, has congratulated the monarch and Olori Ashley Folasade Ogunwusi on the birth of their son.
The child was born on Tuesday at Princess Royal Hospital, London, United Kingdom.
Oba Ogunwusi announced his son’s birth on Instagram, saying mother and child are doing well.
“…Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the mother side of Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of Lafogido Ruling House and father side of Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of Giesi Ruling house combined to the Royal throne of Oduduwa,” he said.
Reacting in the comment section, Olori Tobi wrote, “Congratulations (to) Us ❤️❤️ @ooniadimulaife @hrhqueenashleyafolasade Ire a Kari L’ase Eledumare.”
Among the king’s wives, Queens Tobi and Folasade are the most active on social media.
Olori Tobi welcomed a set of twins in March 2024. The children were welcomed for the first time into the palace in August 2024.
Olori Tobi was the third of six wives taken by the first-class monarch in 2022 after some unsuccessful attempts. Olori Folasade was the fourth.
