The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Sunday joined Nigerians in celebrating Father’s Day 2026, paying tribute to fathers for their love, sacrifice and contribution to family and society.
In her goodwill message, she highlighted the importance of fathers in nurturing children and building strong homes and communities through their guidance and support.
She said, “On this Father’s Day 2026, we celebrate the love, strength, and sacrifice of fathers across Nigeria and around the world.
Fathers play a vital role in shaping the character, confidence, and future of their children.
“Through their guidance, protection, and dedication, fathers help build strong families and stronger communities.”
Extending her message beyond biological fathers, the First Lady also acknowledged father-figures, mentors and role models who take on parental responsibilities.

She further offered prayers for fathers across the country, saying, “May you continue to be a source of wisdom, strength, and inspiration to your families. Happy Father’s Day.”
