Street-pop singer Portable suffered defeat in his celebrity boxing rematch against Nollywood actor Charles Okocha after he was disqualified for leaving the ring before the end of the opening round.
The bout, tagged Unfinished Business, took place on Friday at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, and was organised as a rematch following their controversial first meeting, which Okocha claimed was wrongly awarded to Portable.
Portable appeared to be in control during the early exchanges before the contest degenerated into a wrestling-style confrontation, forcing the referee to repeatedly intervene as both men grappled in the ring.
The opening round was brought to an end as security personnel and bodyguards stepped in to separate the fighters and restore calm.
However, before the contest could resume, Portable walked out of the ring, prompting loud boos from spectators, including fans seated in the VIP section.
Although efforts were made to persuade the singer to return, match officials eventually ruled him disqualified, handing victory to Okocha.

Before the fight began, Portable, who was seen backstage carrying his son, had expressed hope for a positive outcome.

The result marked a dramatic turnaround from their previous meeting, where Portable emerged victorious and later insisted during the weigh-in that he remained the superior boxer.
