The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Cornelius Ojelabi, has secured another term in office following the party’s state congress held on Tuesday.
Ojelabi and other members of the state executive committee were returned through a consensus arrangement at the congress, which took place at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium.
Delegates representing the 376 wards across Lagos State attended the gathering. During the event, the Chairman of the State Congress Committee, Stella Okotete, presented the agreed consensus list, which was subsequently endorsed through a voice vote.
Among the other officials elected were Moshood Olanrewaju as Deputy Chairman; Adeola Jokomba as Secretary; Azizat Mariam as Assistant Secretary; Seye Oladejo as Publicity Secretary; Babajide Sunday as Vice Chairman; Shola Eletu as Woman Leader; and Ayodele Adewale as Organising Secretary.

The congress attracted several prominent figures within the party, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudasiru Obasa; Leader of the Governor’s Advisory Council, Tajudeen Olusi; and Secretary to the State Government, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin.
Also in attendance were former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, governorship aspirant Olajide Adediran, and former senator Ganiyu Solomon, among other party stakeholders.
