Kira Taiwo, daughter of the late Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, has announced plans for a special prayer gathering to mark 40 days since her father’s death.
Kira disclosed the programme on her Instagram page on Wednesday, calling on relatives, friends, colleagues and admirers of the late actor to attend the event.
The prayer session will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 12 noon at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.
The venue is also where Ogogo was laid to rest on August 24, a day after his death at the age of 66.
Details of the gathering were shared on an invitation poster bearing a photograph of the actor and the message: “You are invited to the 40 days prayer for Alh. Al-Hassan Babatunde Taiwo ‘Ogogo.’”
The event is expected to draw members of Ogogo’s family, friends, fellow actors and other associates who will gather to pray for him and remember his contribution to the entertainment industry.

Ogogo passed away on August 23, 2026, bringing to an end a career that lasted more than four decades in the Yoruba movie industry.
The prayer gathering will be held as part of the family’s observance of the 40th day following his death, in line with Islamic tradition.
