Probably, he is the only Fuji musician with one wife and they have been married for some years now.
For Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly referred to as Obesere, it was time to celebrate his wife, Alhaja Tolanikawo Akande (Nee Adelakun).
Tolani, whose birthday was on July 28 must have felt elated when her husband, the Asakasa crooner, took to Instagram to give a birthday shout-out.
Obesere wrote:
“Behind a succesful husband is a strong wife, please wish my wife happy birthday… #+1 #Thanks4BeingThere

This day, I pray that Almighty Allah will continue to bless you with age, blessings, joy amidst plenty happiness. You will blossom more than you ever thought. You have just started doing exploit. God will endow you with more strength to continue as a good wife, mother and my stronghold.
With Love from your love,

Recall that he (Obesere) has completed a multimillion naira mansion in his home town, Ibadan, Oyo State in April 2017.
When asked if the edifice was for his wife, Obesere replied:
“It’s true but the house doesn’t belong to me, that’s for my wife. I am not the type that should be making noise about such things. But I thank God for everything. I told God since more than 10 years I had built a house for my mother that I will do something similar for my wife as well because she really deserves it. Now, God has answered my prayer. She’s a wife that stands by me at all times. So, if I have done more than that, she deserves it. And in few months, it will be opened officially.”
