The coronation of the new Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II marked its first anniversary recently and congratulatory messages are still pouring in.

As part of the celebration, the monarch had a photo session with his wives and children.

Recall that on Thursday October 20, 2016, royalty changed baton in Benin Kingdom. His Royal Highness, Eheneden Erediauwa, was crowned the 39th Oba of Benin Kingdom. He succeeded his late father, Omo n’ Oba n’ Edo Uku Akpolopkolo.
The queens whose names— Princess Iroghama (Obazuaye N’erie), Princess Iyayiota (Obazuwa N’erie) and Princess Ikpakpa (ohe N’erie) have changed in looks and the youngest has a baby.
Erediauwa ascended the 836-year-old throne of his ancestors which is the oldest and one of the most revered in Nigeria.
