Veteran Nollywood actor, John Amaefule, has been hospitalized following a stroke, sparking concerns among fans and colleagues in the industry.


The news of his condition was shared by renowned Nollywood producer, Stanley Okereke, via Instagram, where he revealed that the actor suffered a stroke on the left side of his brain and is currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owerri.
Okereke further disclosed that the family is in urgent need of financial assistance to cover the cost of crucial medical tests and treatments.
“Nollywood veteran actor John Amaefule was rushed to the hospital this morning in Owerri after suffering a stroke. The family is asking Nigerians to please help. He is currently at FMC Owerri, and they need money to save his life,” Okereke stated.
He also shared details of the medical tests required, including a lipid panel test, hemoglobin A1C test, and electrolyte urea and creatinine tests, alongside prescribed medications such as atorvastatin for cholesterol and blood pressure management drugs.
In an emotional plea, he urged the Nollywood community and the general public to support the ailing actor, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.
