Nollywood actress Nkiru Sylvanus has conducted a traditional wedding with her fiancé Riches Sammy.
The ceremony was held at the bride’s hometown in Imo State on January 12, 2023. It was attended by friends and family of the couple.
Photos and videos from the event were uploaded on social media by MC Longinus Anokwute, a.k.a. Chief Imo.
Chief Imo posted images revealing the groom’s face after it had previously been concealed from the public’s view.
In the videos, the bride and groom rocked traditional outfits.
In a post by Nkiru on Friday, January 15, the bride is seen dancing with Mc Imo. Captioning her post, she wrote: “@chiefimo you are just amazing!!! @richessammyofficial come and see dance!”
The actress also revealed that she would be having a white wedding soon.
In December, the actress took to her Instagram page to share a picture of her engagement ring which she captioned quote “It is what it is.”
On Wednesday, January 11, Nkiru went on to share her beautiful pre-wedding pictures with her lover via her Instagram page.
Her husband, Sammy is a TV personality.
Nkiru began her acting career at the age of 17, in 1999. She has been featured in over 50 Nollywood movies and has won several awards.
She won Best Actress of the Year at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) and Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
The Nigerian actress had a go in politics as she was included in the cabinet of former governor of Imo state Rochas Okorocha as his Special Assistant on Lagos State Affairs.
She went on to become his Special Adviser on Public Affairs in 2011.
