Tragedy has struck the Abuja music community following the reported death of Ifunanya Nwangene, a 25-year-old singer professionally known as Nanyah, who allegedly died after being bitten by a snake at her residence in the early hours of the morning.
Information gathered indicates that the incident happened at her home in the Federal Capital Territory, where a snake reportedly attacked and bit her. After the bite, the young artiste was said to have made desperate attempts to save her life by seeking urgent medical help.
Sources disclosed that Nanyah reportedly visited more than one hospital in Abuja in search of treatment but was unable to receive the required care due to the absence of anti-venom. Reports suggest that despite her efforts and movement between health facilities, the life-saving medication was not available.
It was further gathered that snakes had allegedly been sighted around her residence on previous occasions, raising concerns among residents following the incident.
News of her death sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing shock, grief, and condolences. However, some online users speculated about spiritual or supernatural involvement, suggesting possible juju or manipulation. These claims remain unsubstantiated, as no evidence has been presented to support them.
