A man armed with an imitation gun that looked like an assault rifle robbed a bank in Bridgwater Thursday afternoon.
Police say around 1:15 p.m. a man entered the bank, his face covered, and pointed the weapon at an employee to demand money. The employee handed over the cash and wasn’t hurt.
The suspect grabbed the money and fled in a vehicle, but police soon found and arrested their suspect at a home on the 100 block of Bairdmore Boulevard. Soon after, major crimes investigators executed a search warrant on the home.
A vehicle, the money and the imitation firearm were seized.
Oshiobugie Bryan Okhaimo, 24, is charged with armed robbery with a firearm, using an imitation firearm during an offence, pointing a firearm, possessing a weapon and disguise with intent. He’s in custody.
