The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has announced that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) achieved nearly 20,000 flight hours in 2024, showcasing its steadfast commitment to safeguarding national interests.
In his Christmas goodwill message to Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel, Air Marshal Abubakar commended officers and airmen for their dedication and resilience, which led to notable operational successes in the fight against insurgency, banditry, and other security threats.
He remarked, “Your commitment and professionalism have been instrumental in ensuring the security and stability of our beloved country.”
Beyond operational achievements, the CAS highlighted advancements in aircraft serviceability and personnel training, emphasizing the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF’s) strides toward self-reliance and reduced dependence on foreign support.
Abubakar urged sustained synergy among security agencies, noting that modern warfare requires united efforts for enduring peace and security.
He expressed optimism about the force’s growing capabilities, stating, “Together, there is no obstacle we cannot overcome.”
The CAS extended warm wishes for Christmas and the New Year, reiterating his pride in the NAF’s accomplishments and confidence in its future endeavors.
