Senator Ned Nwoko is once again making headlines, this time defending his polygamous lifestyle and denying allegations of domestic violence.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the Delta North lawmaker expressed sympathy for men who have only one wife, insisting that managing multiple marriages provides balance in life.
Asked how he juggles life with four wives, Nwoko offered an analogy to explain his perspective.
“That is a different topic for discussion on another day. Yes, every man should do that. The example I give is this: just imagine telling you to stand on one foot or leg. You know how difficult it is. But to stand on two, three, four is much more balanced. That’s just the example I give. So I feel sorry for those who have one wife because it’s difficult to stand on one leg,” he said.

On religious objections to polygamy, Nwoko pointed out, “The Old Testament does. I am a man of faith. But that’s not what we are here for.”
Reflecting on his own choices, he stated, “No, I don’t have any regret. I will do the same thing again. Of course, that’s the way it should be. You should marry who you want to marry.”
Addressing the allegations of abuse, Nwoko was unequivocal. “No, come on. You know I am not a violent person. I respect my wives. I love them and my kids.”
The senator’s remarks come shortly after Regina Daniels shared her excitement over her newly purchased mansion on Instagram. In her post, she wrote, “In my house, I am a Queen! I needed a roof over my head, so I got this for me and my family.”
This follows a viral video from October 18 showing Daniels in tears outside her Abuja residence, where she spoke of alleged abuse: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
The couple, married for six years despite a notable age difference, is once again at the center of public attention, with their personal struggles playing out in full view on social media.
