Senator Ned Nwoko has spoken out following the circulation of a viral video showing his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, in visible distress, describing her recent behavior as “drug-influenced” and “unprovoked carnage.”
In a detailed statement accompanied by a short video shared via his Instagram handle, @princenednwoko, on Sunday, the lawmaker claimed that Regina was battling drug and alcohol addiction, which he said had become the major source of conflict in their marriage.
He wrote, “Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem.
“She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety.”
According to Nwoko, the actress allegedly went on a violent rampage at their residence in his absence, assaulting staff members and vandalizing property.

“She slapped and hit three staff in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause.
“Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs,” he alleged.
The senator explained that he had proposed two rehabilitation options for his wife — one in Asokoro, Abuja, and another in Jordan — “where she will not have access to drugs.”

He further claimed that the situation at home was aggravated by the interference of Regina’s close associates, whom he accused of supplying her with drugs.
“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier.
“Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he alleged.
Nwoko’s post came hours after a viral video showed Regina Daniels in a heated confrontation, visibly upset and shouting. In the clip, the actress could be heard saying:
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Her brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, popularly known as Sammy West, also reacted via Instagram, accusing Nwoko of physically assaulting his sister and vowing to defend her.
He wrote, “Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood.”
As of now, Regina Daniels has not issued a public response to the allegations, and the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear.
Regina Daniels married Ned Nwoko in 2019, and their marriage — marked by a 40-year age difference — has long been a subject of public attention and discussion.
This development comes months after the senator publicly denied rumors that his wife had left him.
In March, while celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary, Nwoko addressed speculation about the state of their marriage, writing, “Let them talk, let them guess. While we live, while we bless, for at the end, when curtains close, it’s us, my love, that victory knows.”
The speculation started in February when Daniels removed her husband’s name from her Instagram profile and deleted several photos of him from her account.
Shortly after returning to Instagram, the actress subtly responded to critics who had offered advice amid rumours about the troubles in her marriage.
Posing in front of a Ferrari, the actress wrote, “Don’t comment if you’ve never cried in a Ferrari before.”
