Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has spoken out on the ongoing tension between Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele, attributing the latest fallout to a breach of an earlier peace agreement.
Her comments come days after a viral moment at her movie premiere, where Funke Akindele appeared to ignore Toyin Abraham’s greeting, sparking widespread reactions online.
Addressing the situation via Instagram, Iyabo revealed that she had previously mediated between the two actresses, helping them reconcile under specific conditions. She explained that both parties had agreed to avoid airing grievances publicly and instead resolve any issues privately.
According to her, the recent disagreement stemmed from remarks made by Toyin regarding challenges surrounding her movie.
“Unfortunately, Toyin made some complaints about her movie in cinemas claiming some people or person was trying to sabotage her, some fans pointed accusing fingers towards Funke, that sparked up a fresh beef.
“I tried my very best to settle both of them, cried, knelt down, begged both parties to embrace peace which they both later did, reason you saw them a few months ago interacting with one another,” she said.
