MultiChoice Nigeria has announced a price increase for its DStv and GOtv packages, set to take effect from March 1, 2025.


The announcement was made in a statement to customers on Monday, titled:
“Price adjustments for DStv and GOtv packages.”
The company attributed the price adjustment to rising operational costs, stating:
“This is to enable us to continue to offer our customers world-class homegrown and international content, delivered through the best technology.”
New Subscription Prices
The revised prices affect all DStv and GOtv bouquets, with notable changes including:
DStv Packages
- Compact: N19,000 (from N15,700)
- Compact Plus: N30,000
- Premium: N44,500
GOtv Packages
- GOtv Jinja: N3,900 (from N3,600)
- GOtv Plus: N5,800
- GOtv Max: N8,500
- GOtv Supa: N11,400
- GOtv Supa Plus: N16,800
Reason for the Price Hike
MultiChoice explained that the increase was driven by economic factors, including:
- Naira depreciation
- High inflation rates
- Rising operational costs

The latest price hike comes almost a year after the last adjustment, sparking mixed reactions among subscribers. Some have expressed concerns about affordability, while others question whether the content offerings justify the price increase.
Despite the hike, MultiChoice assured customers of continued quality programming and technological improvements.
