Ex husband of Faithia Balogun, Saidi Balogun has postponed his 4-day 50th birthday ceremony.
Saidi, who clocked 50 in February had gone on pilgrimage to Mecca and planned having a big party in May. The four-day celebration would have kicked off today May 22 till May 25, 2017.
According to Saidi, he had postponed it to July 4 due to the recent deaths in Nollywood especially in the Yoruba movie industry and the funerals that would be organised for the all the deceased.
Within 30 days, the industry lost three thespians—Olumide Bakare, Adesina Adesanya (Pastor Ajidara) and Moji Olaiya.
He explained that, “The postponement is in honour of the three fallen heroes in the Yoruba movie industry. Olumide Bakare, Prince Adesina Adesanya (Pastor Ajidara) and Moji Olaiya. Both Prince Adesina ADESANYA (Pastor Ajidara) and Olumide Bakare would be buried on the 25 and 26th of May, 2017 respectively. It is in view of this that a July 4-7th, 2017 date has been chosen for the occasion.
