The mother of late singer Mohbad has broken her silence on the ongoing DNA test controversy involving Omowunmi, Mohbad’s wife, and Mr. Joseph Aloba, the singer’s father.
This comes as the dispute over the paternity test of Liam Light, Ilerioluwa Moh’s only child, has lingered for over a year since the singer’s passing.
Mohbad’s Mother Blames Father for DNA Test Delay
In a viral video, Mohbad’s mother alleged that Mr. Joseph Aloba is responsible for delaying the DNA test, though she did not disclose specific reasons.
Despite her firm belief that Liam is Mohbad’s son, she emphasized that the test must be conducted to clear any doubts.
“Jossy is the one delaying the DNA. We are ready for the DNA. Wunmi must do the DNA because of Liam. I know he is my grandchild.”
Defending Adura in Yomi Fabiyi Dispute
Addressing the controversy involving her other son, Adura, and actor Yomi Fabiyi, she defended Adura, insisting that he is innocent of any allegations.
According to her, Adura sold his phone to a friend, who then allegedly used it to chat with Yomi Fabiyi, claiming to have information on Mohbad’s death.
“Concerning the person that chatted Yomi Fabiyi, it was Damola that told Yomi he knew what killed Mohbad. Adura arrested Damola, and I went to the police station to ask why he impersonated my son. He had no meaningful response.”
She further alleged that Fabiyi is manipulating the situation to implicate Adura, claiming that Damola regretted his actions but was being pressured by Fabiyi to shift the blame.
“Yomi Fabiyi knew that it was not Adura that chatted him, yet he is trying to shift blame. All the curses people placed on Adura will go to Yomi’s children. I had two sons, and you have killed one. Nobody is mentioning Naira Marley or Sam Larry again.”
The case has reportedly been transferred from Ogombo Police Station to Ikeja, and Mohbad’s mother vowed to fight for justice.
