Mr. Joseph Aloba, father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has reacted to the testimony of Nurse Feyi at the ongoing coroner’s inquest.
During Friday’s court session, the nurse, who traveled from Cotonou to treat Mohbad, shared details about the singer’s final moments.
Addressing the testimony, Baba Mohbad strongly criticized his daughter-in-law, Wunmi, accusing her of negligence in handling her husband’s medical care. He questioned why she waited 24 hours for an auxiliary nurse instead of seeking immediate medical attention from a qualified professional.
He also refuted Wunmi’s earlier claim that he instructed the release of the nurse, stating, “The nurse confirmed in court that she had never met me before. Wunmi lied that I said they should release her.”
Furthermore, Baba Mohbad disclosed that the court is set to receive the private autopsy report next Friday. He noted that efforts by the family’s legal representative, SAN Wahab Shittu, to summon the doctor who pronounced Mohbad dead were unsuccessful.
Reflecting on the nurse’s testimony, he added, “She revealed that Adura was not present when she arrived and that when Mohbad was being taken to the hospital, he was carried like a baby. This suggests he was already gone before leaving the house.”
As the coroner’s inquest continues, the public eagerly awaits the autopsy report for further clarity on Mohbad’s tragic passing.
