Gospel artist Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, warmed hearts in the Rumudara community, Port Harcourt, by sharing essential items with residents during a festive outreach on December 30, 2024.
Under their charitable initiative, the Mercy Is Blessed Foundation, the couple distributed bags of rice, garri, tomato paste, yams, cash gifts, and clothing to support the elderly, single mothers, and disadvantaged individuals.
A Mission Rooted in Love
Speaking during the event, Pastor Uzochikwa highlighted the foundation’s mission: “The central goal of Christ is love, and He is the reason for the season.
Love is about giving, and that’s why the Mercy Is Blessed Foundation is committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with those in need, not just by providing food but by empowering them to achieve sustainable livelihoods.”
Beyond Food Aid
In addition to food and cash donations, the foundation aims to help beneficiaries build stable incomes, aligning with its vision of long-term empowerment.
