If Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Kazim Adeoti aka Adekaz thinks he would get a response for his rebuttal on Sunday concerning his first wife’s 50th birthday party in Minnesota, USA, he got it all wrong.
Just as he posted his explanation on why he wasn’t present at the celebration didn’t hold water with many Nigerians online, Funsho Adeoti, his first wife took to Instagram to express gratitude to her friends and family for throwing their weight behind her for the successful 50th birthday celebration.
Kazim’s noticeable absence from the event caused widespread criticism online. In response, he clarified that while he wasn’t physically present at the party, he had provided financial and moral support for the event and had conveyed his birthday wishes to Funsho privately.
Kazim also emphasised that his absence was at Funsho’s request.
Following his statement, Funsho took to Instagram to thank her loved ones for their unwavering support during the celebration.
In a message shared on Monday, she acknowledged the kindness and love she had received which made her milestone birthday all the more special.
Despite the ongoing challenges in her relationship with Kazim, Funsho has maintained a positive attitude, often posting inspirational messages and words of appreciation on social media.
She wrote, “Dear friends, family, and loved ones, I am deeply moved by all the birthday wishes, prayers, and love that you have shown me. Your kind words have filled my heart with so much gratitude, and I honestly can’t express how much it means to me.
“Whether near or far, each message has reminded me how blessed I am to have such amazing people in my life. Your thoughtfulness has made this day even more special than I could have ever imagined.”
“As I reflect on the love and support I have received, I pray that the same kindness, joy, and blessings you’ve shared with me be returned to you a hundredfold. May your lives be filled with peace, happiness, and an abundance of love,” she continued.

Funsho concluded by expressing her anticipation for creating many more memories with her loved ones while acknowledging how meaningful her birthday had been thanks to their support.
The relationship between Funsho and Kazim has been the subject of public scrutiny, particularly following Kazim’s marriage to actress Mercy Aigbe.
