Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, recently celebrated his sixth coronation anniversary. Known to be a lover of culture and tradition, many congratulated him for achieving so much in a few years as king.
One of such congratulatory messages was from his wife and queen, Princess Afolashade Ashley.
Just as Oloori Ashley eulogized her husband, other wives must have done so privately too.
Other wives? Yes, there are other wives apart from Prophetess Naomi.
Well, in the short period of his reign, the Ooni of Ife has been visibly married twice. He was married to his first wife Adebukunola Bombata before he became a monarch. They are now separated.
Ooni of Ife’s first Olori was Olori Zaynab Wuraola Otiti. A Bini princess, the union hit the rock due to irreconcilable differences.
On October 17, 2018, Ooni of Ife got married prophetess Naomi. The queen is now a proud mother of Prince Tadenikawo Ogunwusi, who recently celebrated his first birthday. Though Olori Naomi is by far the most visible or Oba Adeyeye’s queens, there are other wives living in the palace.
According to Maestromedia Blog, there are at least six wives including Princess Ronke Ademiluyi.

Even before the monarch ascended the throne in 2015 Princess Ronke Ademiluyi has been there. The London trained lawyer is a very well known entrepreneur who shuttled between the UK and Nigeria. Ayaba Ronke is the founder of the popular fashion showcase platforms, the AFWN & AFWL franchises. As a prince then, the now Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi’s company, was one of the major sponsors of the ‘Africa Fashion Week Nigeria’ the fashion showcase platform founded by Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, who is a single mother of one.

No one is in doubt about who this gorgeous lady is and where she occupies in the heart of the Ooni. She is actually based in the United Kingdom and comes to see her husband whenever she wants and needs to. A single mum of one before her union with the Ooni, Princess Afolashade Ashley is the founder of the Afolashade Ashley Adegoke Foundation which caters for single moms, widows, the less privileged and orphans in the society. She is a blueblood too, just like Princess Ronke Ademiluyi.

There’s the other one called Oloori Lola who, sources in the palace revealed that she may be pregnant with Ooni’s baby. Not much is known about her.

Mind you, all of those already mentioned queens have been in Ooni’s harem before Oloori Naomi came on board. The very beautiful princess Temitope Adesegun has an intimidating resume; counting Oxford, Cambridge, Insead, Harvard as some of her alma maters and some may even describe her as an over achiever. She used to work as the Personal Assistant to Babatunde Raji Fashola. Adesegun is said to have been married. She is actually based in Lagos and a director of Hope Alive Initiative Poverty Alleviation Advocacy that is powered by the House of Odua inspired by the Ooni.
For Princess Kemi B. Fadojutimi, life is sweet with the Ooni. She was based in the US based but relocated to Nigeria sometime ago. She’s the CEO of All Eyes on Africa Media. She’s also a director of Dare2 Dream Organisation, which is an advocacy agency. She has represented the monarch at some functions before.

She is the highly cerebral Professor of Health from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She is an accomplished physician and consultant on public health. Prof Esimai lost her husband sometime ago and she is now Ooni’s wife and lives in Ife with the him. She also doubles as the king’s personal physician.
