Manchester United is nearing a deal to capture Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina, according to a source,
According to Moroccan writer Izem Anass, Amrabat’s transfer to United is “one detail” away from being finalized. The midfielder has been connected to the club for a while, and earlier this month, he reportedly informed the Italian club of his intention to go.
Although Anass did not include a transfer fee in his article, it looks that the player will cost roughly €35 million (£30 million/$39 million), which was the price that was mentioned around the time the Moroccan international notified the Serie A club that he wanted to depart.
Mason Mount and Andre Onana have already been signed by United this summer.
Amrabat became a star for Morocco in the World Cup in Qatar, when they advanced to the semifinals. Since joining the Serie A club in 2020, he has made 107 appearances. At the conclusion of the next season, his contract expires.
Amrabat’s transfer will probably be formalized soon since United is presently touring the USA in preparation for the next season.
