This minute, she is a ‘slayqueen’ who dresses to the nines and looks so gorgeous. Then, the next minute, her beautiful face is tucked inside a finance book or glued to her computer working late into the night.
A thoroughbred finance professional with senior level exposure in the banking and finance industry, she has practiced banking internationally and sat on the boards of at least 2 banking institutions outside Nigeria.
Mrs. Bukola is a passionate and driven individual whose entrepreneurial drive has been identified as one of the building blocks of the several organisations with which she has been involved.
Moreover, she single-handedly led the team that was responsible for the establishment of Sky Capital Financial and allied services Limited, a Lagos-based financial services which she established as a fully owned subsidiary of Sifax Group.
Also, she created systems and processes that ensured the sustainability of the firm before moving on into self-employment.
The company currently oversees the banking and non-banking financial services investments of the SIFAX Group which includes investment in 3 international banking subsidiaries based in the Gambia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
Under her leadership, Skye Bank Sierra Leone limited moved from a ranking of 11th position (out of 14 banks) to sixth position in less than 2 years.
Prior to this, she worked in Skye Bank PLC (now Polaris Bank Limited), where she rose through the ranks and gained promotions more rapidly than any before her in the bank’s history.
Thereafter, she was at United Bank for Africa PLC. She was renowned for always reviving moribund bank branches and turning them to profitability.
In addition, she won several awards at all the banks where she worked. The reputation for outstanding work earned her several accolades.
As an entrepreneur, she has displayed significant business acumen and creativity.
Currently she is the MD/ CEO of Digital Space Capital Limited, a one-stop financial services that provides top notch services across Investment Banking, Asset Management, Insurance, Micro Banking, and fintech (Digikolo- her homegrown digital savings solutions is arguably the second biggest savings app in the country today).
Additionally, in the creative industry, she is the CEO of WeBrandIt Limited.
The company is the brain behind the multi-million-naira media campaigns and outdoor advertising of some of the biggest brands in the country today.
Their clientele list cuts across telecoms, banking, FMCG and gaming services.
Moreover, she also runs Eco Cleaning Services Limited, a top-notch cleaning company with a top of the range clientele.
As a philanthropist, she is the founder of Florence Modupe Foundation (FMF). It was named after her mother.
FMF is focused on using education as a tool to help indigent but gifted students achieve their lifelong dreams.
As at today, the foundation currently trains and pays the school fees of over 200 girls across Ondo State in addition to the donations of relief materials to over 50 orphanages and Special Schools across Nigeria.
Olubukola Abitoye attended St. Helen’s Unity Secondary School, Ondo State. She proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Osun State, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Management and Accounting.
Also, she holds a master’s degree in Business Administration in America.
Mrs Bukola is a seasoned marketer with over 16 years of working experience. She’s an Acute Marketer, Sales personnel who has carved a niche for herself in the finance industry. In the course of her career, she has attended several trainings, conferences , seminars and summits in the areas of Leadership, Management, Finance both locally and internationally.
What’s more, she is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), The Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria.
As well, she holds the ACI certification. She is a member of the Treasury Dealers Association of Nigeria.
Fondly called Bukky, she is the author of Guiding Grace. The book is an autobiography that chronicles her life’s journey from grass to grace.
Withal, Mrs. Olubukola is an incurable optimist and a firm believer that “All things are possible if you set your mind to it.”
Over and above that, she has mentored many people from various walks of life. The mentees through her support have gone on to excel in their chosen fields.
