

Former gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Babatunde Gbadamosi, has been detained by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly contravening lockdown order declared by the State Government to curtail coronavirus spread.
Gbadamosi was detained after being spotted in a viral video attending a birthday party organised by Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello for her husband, Abdul-Rasheed Bello, held in Amen Estate, Ibeju-Lekki axis of the state.
A police source at the command headquarters revealed that Gbadamosi has been detained and may not be released by the law enforcement agency for engaging in an act that was at variance with the law.
Gbadamosi had released a video on Sunday stating he attended the party because he thought it was going to be strictly for staff and family members of the Bellos.
He also disclosed that he had spent an hour at the house party when a celebrity sauntered in with his entourage. At that stage, he said he felt he should leave—he didn’t leave.
Funke Akindele Nollywood superstar, Funke Akindele popularly known as

Funke was arrested on Sunday for hosting a party
on Saturday in honour of her husband, Abdul Rasheed Bello popularly known as
JJC Skillz.
The party attracted more than the permissible
guests in line with the restriction order to contain COVID-19 pandemic.
Singer, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, also graced the party, which had over 20 others in attendance.
Thousands of Nigerians on social media called for the arrest Akindele, popularly called ‘Jenifa’.
The actress, who is said to be an ambassador for the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Dettol, has appeared in adverts calling on Nigerians to observe social distancing and hygiene.
She later apologised over the incident, saying most of those who attended the party were colleagues, who were living temporarily within the estate and could not return to their home states because of the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, a Lagos Magistrate court sentenced Funke and her husband to 14 days of community service each with a fine of N1000,000.
The actress has also been asked to provide all the names of everyone who attended the house party.
Already musician, Naira Marley has been arrested and will probably face prosecution today.
Meanwhile, Gbadamosi, who is the owner of AMEN Estate, Ibeju Lekki where the Bellos reside, is in police detention.
