Nollywood actress, Lizzy Anjorin is currently rejoicing that a court dismissed Iyabo Ojo’s N1bn defamation lawsuit against her on Wednesday, 9 July, 2025.
Recall Iyabo Ojo had filed a N1 billion defamation lawsuit against Lizzy over her social media allegations.

Although official court documents concerning the suit are yet to be in public domain, a number of internet sites, including posts on social media, including Lizzy Anjorin herself claiming that the case has been “thrown out.”
Anjorin made this disclose in a post she shared on her Instagram page.
Sharing the dismissal news of the suit, Anjorin wrote:
“BREAKING NEWS !!! IYABO OJO 1 BILLION NAIRA LAW SUIT CASE AGAINST LIZZYANJORIN DISMISSED!!!”.
In 2023, the two actresses were engaged in a furious Internet feud that led to the lawsuit. For claimed defamatory remarks posted on social media, Iyabo Ojo had first demanded that Lizzy Anjorin delete her remarks, apologize, and pay N500 million in damages.
It was later submitted after Iyabo Ojo’s legal team warned that noncompliance by her fellow colleague, Lizzy Anjorin would result in a N1 billion lawsuit for punitive damages.
After singer Mohbad passed away, the conflict grew more heated, with Lizzy Anjorin apparently making disparaging remarks about Iyabo Ojo without mentioning her by name.
Many assumed that Anjorin’s posts, which made reference to a persona called “Sepeteri,” were aimed at Ojo, accusing her of a number of inappropriate actions, including engaging in a threesome with her daughter. The legal action resulted from Iyabo Ojo openly challenging Anjorin to mention her name directly.
But the court’s decision to dismiss the case on Wednesday, has divided supporters and commentators. While some contend that justice was not done, others contend that there was insufficient merit to the case from the start.
