Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has revealed that marrying a colleague was never part of his plans until he met his wife, actress Mo Bimpe.
During an interview with Morayo Afolabi Brown, the award-winning actor disclosed that he had always intended to avoid relationships within the film industry but eventually realised that life had other plans for him.
Lateef also spoke about their interfaith marriage, explaining that although he is a Muslim and Mo Bimpe is a Christian, religion was never a deciding factor in his choice of a life partner.
According to him, what mattered most was finding peace and happiness.
“I promised never to marry someone from my industry, but God had better plans. I am a Muslim, she’s a Christian.
It didn’t matter to me because the most important thing before religion is my peace.
She had her concerns, but I told her to let me meet her father, and the rest is history,” he said.
The actor added that while Mo Bimpe initially had concerns about their relationship, he reassured her by expressing his readiness to formally meet her father, a step that eventually paved the way for their marriage.

Lateef also dismissed claims that the children featured in some of the couple’s social media posts are their triplets.
He clarified that the images were created using artificial intelligence, stressing that he and his wife have chosen to keep their children’s identities private for now.
“Also, those children you are seeing with us on social media are not the faces of our triplets because it’s AI. When we are ready, we will reveal their faces,” he said.
