Nigerian actress Laide Bakare has revealed plans to remarry, marking what would be her third time tying the knot.
Despite her past marriages, the movie star described the upcoming union as her “first official” marriage.
Speaking in a recent interview with Mr LilGaGa, Bakare disclosed that preparations for the wedding are already in progress.
“I will soon be getting married, officially, for the first time ever,” she said.
However, the actress did not reveal the identity of her fiancé or when the ceremony will take place.
Her announcement comes months after a November 2023 video she posted online sparked speculation about a possible engagement. The clip, which showed a proposal scene, drew congratulatory messages from fans before she later clarified that it was part of a movie production titled Oko Laide and not a real-life event.
Bakare, 45, was first married to U.S.-based businessman Olumide Okunfulure, with whom she shares a daughter, Simi. Following the end of that marriage, she later tied the knot with Mutairu Orilowo, and their union produced two sons.

While the second marriage eventually ended, details surrounding the separation have remained largely private.

With this latest development, Bakare appears set to embrace a new chapter in her personal life.
