The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 38-year-old Samuel Alfred for allegedly defiling his 14-year-old stepdaughter in the Okokomaiko area of Lagos State. The suspect was taken into custody alongside his friend, Ikechukwu Obi, who is accused of conspiring with Alfred in the sexual abuse of the teenager.

According to a police source who spoke to PUNCH Metro, the arrests occurred after the victim’s mother, Deborah, discovered that her daughter was nine months pregnant. She reported the situation to the police, stating that her husband had impregnated her daughter, leading to their immediate apprehension.
“The mother came to lodge a complaint that her daughter was impregnated by her husband, who is a stepfather to the victim. We went straight to arrest the man and, during interrogation, we discovered that he was not alone in the act,” the police source revealed. The investigation uncovered that both men had reportedly been forcing the victim into sexual relations over an extended period.
The case has since been transferred to the Gender Unit at Ikeja for further investigation. Command spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the details, stating, “One Deborah, aged 32 years, reported that her daughter (name withheld), aged 14, was defiled by her husband, Samuel Alfred, (her stepfather) aged 38, and his friend Ikechukwu Obi, aged 30. The survivor is about nine months pregnant. The case will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.”
