Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have showered praises on Speaker Mojisola Meranda, commending her leadership and legislative impact despite her short tenure in office.

Meranda, who assumed office on January 13, 2025, following the removal of former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, has reportedly maintained order and stability within the Assembly. However, speculations remain high regarding Obasa’s potential reinstatement.
During a plenary session, Aro Moshood (Oshodi-Isolo I) initiated the commendation, describing Meranda’s leadership as “positively life-transforming.” Lawmakers including Kehinde Joseph (Alimosho II) and David Setonji (Badagry II) also praised her for her resilience, humility, and commitment to legislative excellence.
While political uncertainties persist, Meranda’s leadership has been marked by efficiency and collaboration, earning her the respect of her colleagues.
