The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that its 2026 State Congress will hold on Tuesday, March 3.
In a notice released on Monday by the Chairman of the Lagos State Congress Committee, the congress is slated to take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium (formerly Onikan Stadium) on Lagos Island, beginning at 10 a.m.
The statement read, “Pursuant to the provisions of Article 12.8 of the party’s Constitution, the All Progressives Congress, Lagos State Chapter, hereby announces the scheduled 2026 State Congress.”
The party outlined those eligible to participate in the congress, including members of the State Advisory Council; the State Chairman and members of the State Executive Committee; the State Governor and Deputy Governor who are party members; and all serving and former members of the National Assembly from Lagos State who belong to the APC.
Other attendees listed are members of the National Executive Committee from the state; current and former members of the State House of Assembly who are party members; elected Local Government Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen; and all elected councillors across the state’s 245 wards who hold party membership.

The notice further included chairmen and secretaries of the party in all Local Government Areas, five delegates per ward elected at the Ward Congress, and members of the Zonal Executive Committee from the state.
“All delegates are required to present their valid party membership cards and official accreditation tags for entry,” the statement added.
This announcement sets the stage for one of the party’s key political gatherings in Lagos State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
