Veteran Nollywood actors, Kunle and Aremu Afolayan, reunite at their mother’s burial, sparking widespread excitement among fans and industry colleagues
Recall that in 2018 Kunle and Aremu Afolayan, were embroiled in a publicised feud over a family property dispute.
At their mother’s wake-keep yesterday, Aremu Afolayan tearfully tendered an apology to his elder brother.
“I am sorry for putting you through Instagram backlash, is because I love you.My money is not in the house, but he built it for all of us,” he stated.
Following the heartfelt apology, the actors shared a warm embrace, marking the end of their long-standing feud.
Nollywood actors, Kunle and Aremu Afolayan lost their 81-year-old mother Omoladun Afolayan in November 2024.
Breaking the news his Instagram page on Saturday, Kunle included a collection of photos capturing moments shared with his mother, siblings and other family members.
Expressing sorrow and gratitude, Kunle reflected on her life, writing: “It is hard to accept, but she surely lived a good life.”
He added, “Our mother, Maami Omoladun Ayanladun Afolayan, has gone to rest (1943–2024). She’s survived by her children and grandchildren. Please keep us in your prayers. Omo re a gbeyin gbogbo wa. Ire.”
Meanwhile, Kunle’s brother, Aremu, also took to Instagram to mourn his mum in a separate post.
He wrote, “Maami…… Rest well. May the Lord in his mercy grant you happiness wherever you maybe. I love you.”
The late Madam Omoladun Afolayan who celebrated her 80th birthday in April 2023 was married to late thespian Adelove, who died many years ago.
