Contrary to media reports, Nigerian dancer, Korra Obidi, who is based in the United States, said she hasn’t been denied citizenship of the country she is living.

The newly divorced mum of two, had on Friday taken to Facebook Live to reveal that her citizenship application had been considered abandoned.

Reading a letter from the Department of Homeland Security, Korra could not hide her shock that her application was abandoned.

“Oh my God, Jesus Christ!” Korra exclaimed as she read the letter.

“I submitted a form for naturalization and US has considered my application abandoned,” Korra Obidi said with a sad expression on her face.

Formerly married to American citizen, Justin Dean, the estranged couple made headlines in March when Justin announced they are getting a divorce one week after they welcomed their second child.

Of her citizenship application, Korra said, “I have not been denied citizenship, with 6 million followers InstaBlog, you need to do more fact checking before you post fake news, you owe it to the public. My application was considered abandoned as I moved to my new home and they   could reach me. Thank you all for the kind messages. Love you,” she wrote.
