King Sunny Ade Flaunts Wives…Floats Radio Station

King Sunny Ade and wives

There is
no gainsaying the fact that at almost 70( his birthday is in September) King Sunny
Ade whose name is Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, looks superb. He is fit as a fiddle
too. If you are in doubt, check him out while dancing on stage.

So much
myths, rumours and stories are put up about the Juju music maestro, King Sunny Ade; But
two things have emerged as facts— his polygamous lifestyle and the new radio
station M&C which he floated and operations starts tomorrow, June 12, 2016.

His wives
(officially seven) are pretty, seemed to be united and not ‘noisemakers.’
Except for Queen Ahneva Adegeye, nothing much is known about the women.

Queen
Ahneva is a regular on the Lagos party scene. Quite unassuming, she is
originally from Chicago and has been with the Classic FM radio station since
2009.  A graduate of Fashion Design from
the Art Institute of Chicago, you cannot mistake her African dressing in a
crowd.

Ahneva Adegeye

She has been married to the Juju maestro, King Sunny Ade since 1984 and they
have two children—a boy and a girl.

Though she
has her fashion business and her programme on radio, not a few wonders how she
manages to attend a number of A-list events in Lagos. An early-comer too,
Ahneva, who loves the Ankara fabrics a lot, would delightfully pose for
pictures on the red carpet and when it’s time to groove, she displays her
affiliation to a musician.

However,
for the Juju maestro, now that he has joined the league of broadcast station
owners, Sunny Ade has added another feather to his cap.

This
follows a successful three-week test run of his new M&C radio station
which is set to officially flag off operations on Sunday.
With KSA as the Chairman, there is a professional team headed by Donald Falayi. The new radio station’s Executive Director, Clement Ige said in a statement the
objectives of the broadcast firm is to achieve  result and become “a reference outfit” in the
history of broadcasting in Nigeria.

He said, “We
took enough time on the drawing board because M&C FM is strategically
different from the pool in terms of orientation and goal. You are going to
listen to a medium that will reflect Nigeria in many aspects that are
conceptually designed to inspire practically everybody, young and old.”

“M&C
(Music and Culture) will reportedly be commissioned few days after it begins
full operation,” he concluded.
