The management of social media influencer Michelle Mukoro, popularly known as King Mitchy, has withdrawn its earlier statement claiming she had passed away.

The confusion followed weeks of online tension between Mitchy and activist VeryDarkMan, which revolved around allegations tied to her philanthropic activities.

Mitchy had recently highlighted her achievement of renovating a school in just six days and had publicly questioned VeryDarkMan on how he had handled public donations since early 2025. The situation intensified when VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, was financially backing Mitchy’s charity work, sparking heated debates across social media.

The influencer revealed that the persistent online harassment led to the loss of her business Instagram page. Matters escalated when, during a live video, Mitchy was seen consuming a substance believed to be “hypo” (a bleach product) while visibly distressed, prompting immediate concern from viewers.

Her management initially issued a statement via Instagram, claiming she had died at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja after medical staff were allegedly unable to revive her, and appealed for privacy for her family.

The post now clarifies, “Michelle is okay now.”

Earlier, Prime Care Hospital had refuted claims that Mitchy had been admitted to their facility or had died there. The hospital warned that it would take legal action against anyone spreading false information.

“The management of Prime Care Hospitals wishes to inform the public that the announcement of the alleged death of Miss Mukoro Mitchelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, at our facility in Abuja is FALSE. King Mitchy was never a patient in our hospital and did not pass away here,” the statement read.

“We are working with authorities to investigate the source of this misinformation and will take all necessary legal actions against those responsible. Please verify information through our official channels before sharing,” it added.

The clarification comes as social media users continue to process the dramatic turn of events surrounding King Mitchy’s online feud with VeryDarkMan.
