Its been celebration galore in the camp of beautiful Nollywood actress, Kemi Afolabi-Adesipe.
The mum of one had many of her friends, colleagues including family members felicitate her recently, when she opened the doors of her new home in Lagos.
Her friend, Mercy Aigbe was the first to make the announcement on social media that Kemi has joined the league of ‘Lagos Landladies’ in the industry. Sharing photos of the beautiful home, an excited Mercy wrote,
“I Congratulations friend mi @kemiafolabiadesipe on your latest achievement! Welcome to the landladies club 😁😍…… more to come in Jesus mighty name!”
Just as the buzz vibrated through Instagram, Kemi also shared a photo of herself and wrote,
“Moving into my new home is such a fulfilling feeling! I feel so blessed to have this wonderful
celebration with my friends and family, most importantly my mother, i saw the pride and sense of fulfillment in her eyes and it made me feel super elated that I was able to do this in front of my mother, with her super hale and hearty.
I want to also thank the good people who made my house a home yesterday by gracing the occasion, dancing and rejoicing with you all yesterday has to be the sweetest thing.
To my fans, well wishers and supporters, my dreams are nothing without your support, there is no Kemi Afolabi without you all, the hard work paid out because I have you guys as my backbone, pillar and support, I can say you all made this happen.
Most importantly, my thanks goes to Almighty Allah, the author and finisher of my faith, the one who makes all things possible.

Just as the rejoicing is still evident and as she settles down in her new home, many of her fans are wondering why the actress’s husband , an engineer based in England, was not present, featured or made mention of at the August occasion.
Recall that in 2019 and 2020 respectively, there were rumours of Kemi and her husband having issues in the marriage. This was after she fought with two actresses—Amarachi Igwe and Gloria Johnson who accused her of dating another actor called Gida. After this episode, rumour mills went agog with the news that Kemi Afolabi’s marriage had crashed.
On this, she revealed in an interview that her marriage was intact.
She said, “There is nothing to clear, people can think or say whatever they like, after all that’s what comes with being a public figure. I am fine and enjoying my marriage with my husband! I am a very private person, my husband is private as well, we love and understand ourselves, we were able to define what we want and I was early enough to realize that if I want to keep this relationship healthy, I need to take it off peoples’ eyes.”
But with the actress building a house, which she claims to be her own, many are asking the question, where is Kemi Afolabi’s husband? Have they separated as insinuated? How come she is moving into a house she built without her husband in the picture?
