The loss of two ‘heavy’ phones belonging to Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, at the recent premiere of the much awaited Iyabo Ojo’s ‘Labake Olododo’ almost marred the day for the some guests…whodunnit?
Actress Mercy Aigbe lost two phones during the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s movie Labake Olododo on Sunday at Imax Cinemas, Lekki, Lagos.
A video circulating online shows Iyabo making an open appeal for the missing devices, offering a cash reward to anyone who finds and returns them. Reports indicate that the phones were in the care of Mercy’s assistant at the time they went missing.
During the event, Iyabo pleaded with guests, urging whoever might have taken the phones to return them, emphasizing that she was willing to offer a financial incentive.
“Please, we are looking for phones. Did you help us see them? If anyone sees a phone that isn’t theirs, I beg you to return it. I will personally give you money. Two phones, locate me, and I will give you money,” she announced.
Another clip captured Mercy visibly upset as she confronted her assistant over the incident.
Fans have since reacted to the situation, with some sympathising with Mercy while others criticised the assistant’s carelessness.
Actress Sarah Martins wrote, “Losing two phones? The assistant suppose don chop two slaps for being extremely careless.”
Joke Jigan commented, “Two phones in Tinubu’s Nigeria.”
Adekunle Yewande added, “She has every right to be angry; lots of private information on her phone.”
