Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared her views on relationships, motherhood and personal growth, saying an active sex life can contribute to a woman’s youthful appearance and confidence.
The actress spoke during a recent appearance on The Morayo Show, where she discussed her experience as a single mother, her new role as a grandmother and her decision to become less involved in public controversies.
Speaking about what she believes helps women maintain their glow, Ojo said happiness depends more on the quality of a person’s relationship rather than whether they are married or single.
“We (single mothers) are happy. I think some married women are happy too. I don’t think it’s about being single or being married.
“I think it’s about the person that you’re with. Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow. I’m getting more than enough,” she said.
The actress also reflected on her journey raising her children alone, describing their growth and achievements as one of the most fulfilling parts of her life.
“It makes me feel good, happy, and fulfilled,” Ojo said.
She further explained that becoming a grandmother has influenced the way she handles public issues, noting that she now avoids unnecessary confrontations to protect her daughter and her family from online scrutiny.
According to the actress, she has become more selective about the battles she chooses to engage in, but would still speak out when necessary.
“I have piped down because of my grandson now. My daughter is married, so when I keep fighting, the opposite side is going to come up with different false allegations, and I don’t want her going through any stress. But if the need arises for me to speak up, then I will,” she said.
Ojo also disclosed that she travelled to Canada after the birth of her grandson to carry out the traditional omugwo support for her daughter, Priscilla Ojo.

The actress had previously explained that she ensured her former husband was actively involved in their daughter’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in 2025, despite their past differences.
She said she chose to separate her personal issues from her responsibilities as parents, stressing that disagreements between parents should not affect their children.
Priscilla and Juma Jux welcomed their first child, Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada in August 2025 after announcing their pregnancy earlier in the year. Their wedding celebrations in Nigeria and Tanzania attracted significant public attention and became one of the most talked-about celebrity events of 2025.
